Richard Latorre serves as President of Latorre Insurance, a leading independent insurance brokerage headquartered in Charlotte, NC. He established the full-service insurance firm in 2003, and since then the company and its team of property, liability, health and life insurance agents, consultants and customer care specialists have served the insurance needs of thousands of clients in the Carolinas. Latorre Insurance maintains multiple offices in North Carolina including Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh.
By leveraging the customer centric focus and multilingual capabilities of his team, which include English, Spanish and Portuguese, Richard has positioned Latorre Insurance as a premier insurance brokerage in the Carolinas serving the general market as well as the region’s rapidly growing international segments. In addition to personal insurance, the firm helps insure and manage the risks of various types of complex commercial operations and has a growing presence in life insurance and group benefits.
After earning an M.B.A. from Florida Atlantic University, and prior to launching Latorre Insurance, Richard worked in international sales and marketing for Sony Corporation working in most countries in the Americas. He has extensive experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, and business development.
Richard has served on the board of directors and/or as board president of various nonprofit organizations including the Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte, CAGC Foundation, Arts & Science Council, Boy Scouts of America Mecklenburg County Council, The Latin American Coalition and The Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas. He maintains a strong degree of community involvement and is a supporter of several social and educational causes.
